The 800,000 Project: Current Status
In preperation for the
2008 RWANDAN COMMEMORATIVE EVENT
where you can participate in a nationwide event with 800,000 others!!

Project Goals
CHECK! Construct 800,000 pages in memorial books.
CHECK! Produce CD of music in response to the genocide to accompany exhibit.
Fill each page with individual handprints. (CURRENT FOCUS)
Raise $800,000 to create an endowment for Rwanda's development and healing.
Exhibit book nationally and internationally.
Progress
100% of the 200,000 sheets of paper needed to make the 800,000 pages have been folded.
6 high schools came on board to bind books:
Grier School, Tyrone, PA
Bishop Guilfoyle, Altoona, PA
VPAA @ Salem High, Virginia Beach, VA
State High, State College, PA
Bedford High, Bedford, PA
Valley High, New Kensington, PA
All 2500 books are bound! The last book was bound in Bedford on Thursday, April 20th, 2006.
Songwriters and musicians in Harrisburg finished cd for installation.
OVER $3000 HAS BEEN RAISED TO DATE!!
